Turner Syndrome Awareness Month!!!!!

Happy Turner Syndrome awareness month everybody!!!! I hope during the month of Febuary we rise up and educate and stop ignorance of Turner Syndrome. Butterflies, lets stay united and come together and stand with our heads held high. I have met a lot of women with Turner Syndrome and Turner Syndrome parents and I am glad to call them friends and they showed me nothing but love and support and they are a big encouragement to me. <3 I hope I can meet all of my Turner Sisters and have life-long rel

Childhood Dreams :)

I know its hard to believe, But one of my biggest dreams as a child and teenager was to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader!!! They always seemed so confident, pretty, and seemed like they had their lives together and they have so many people admiring them!! I have learned that only being 5 feet tall that and cannot kick and do the splits to save my life, That the dream might not be very realistic. What are some of your dreams when you were a child?

10 Things you might not know about me...

1.I love animals!! I have a dog named Bruce (Pictured Below) , 2. I got diagnosed with Turner Syndrome when I was 16, I am 20 now. 3. I had my ovaries removed when I was 17. 4. I am currently in college studying Early Childhood Education to be a Speech Pathologist. 5. I take football a little too seriously, My favorite team is the Green Bay Packers!!! Go Pack Go!! 6. I work at Mcdonald's. 7. I am single and I am perfectly fine with that fact right now. 8. On my 21st birthday, I plan to get on a registry to adopt a child. 9. I am a huge Jenna Marbles fan, I wish I was friends with her... 10. I was raised by a single father, I can never repay him for what he has done for me.

Stomach Problems with TS??

Hey everybody, I currently got diagnosed with having acid reflux disease a few months ago and let me tell you...It has been a struggle!!!! Missing work, going to multiple doctors appointments, watching what you eat, and remembering to take your medication everyday...So, here is my question for you..Do any of you suffer from stomach issues and is it common?? Stress!!!!

Hey everybody...Long time no talk and happy March!! I have noticed lately that I have been more stressed than ever!!! I work around 30-40 hours a week and I go to school full time...I seriously work on an assignment for about 2 hours and get a C on it!!! sooo angry hahahaha :) I am obviously not taking my stress in stride like I should and handle my difficulities over to the Lord like I should :) I was wondering how do y'all deal with stress and is it common for you too???

This is Halloween!!

Halloween is coming up next week and I am thinking about going as a powerranger :) What is everybody going as?? is there anything special planned?? Hey Guys :) how are y'all doing on this beautiful day?? I know I have not blogged in a while :( I saw this story A couple of months ago when a woman found out she had cancer and she needed surgery to save her life :( They found a match for her thankfully and she wanted to meet the person who saved her life :) all she knew was that her donor was a man and his age, but she wanted to know more :) They went on national TV on Good Morning America and she finally met the man who saved her life who she calls "her hero" it was very emotional for me and I thought to myself that I wanted to help someone like this man did and make a difference in someone's life. That night I went on BeTheMatch.com and registered, about a week and a half later I got a kit in the mail complete with 4 long cotton swabs, directions, scanner stickers, and a envelope to mail them back. I mailed them out as soon as I could and almost 3 months went by and I did not hear anything from them and I was checking my email not too long ago and I saw a email from Be The Match, I became really excited and I read it and they told me that I was on the registry and that I should be receiving a card in the mail in about a month. I am so excited and I wanted to share this special moment with you :)

Inspirational Turner Sister Sydney Mancini

I just watched this on youtube and lemme tell you...Sydney story really touched me...I love that Sydney is not scared to ask questions and so strong at only 7 years old!! It really touched me when her mom almost started crying and that she had to have heart surgery almost immediately after she was born!!! Hey Everybody...Long time no see :( Only ten days left until the 25th Anniversary Conference in Anaheim California....This year's theme is "Get Your Princess On" Which in my opinion is a great idea! I think all of my turner sisters are beautiful princesses and they should be treated like one :) Let me know if any of you are attending the conference I'm going to try to attend so maybe i'll get to meet some of you :D
